About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LatAm Reliability Senior Operations Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the reliability and performance of our Uber Direct marketplace across Latin America. Acting as the key liaison between operational needs and technical solutions, you'll drive strategic improvements that directly impact business success.

What you'll do

  • Strategic problem solving: Build comprehensive business cases for critical marketplace needs, identifying improvement opportunities and presenting clear, data-driven justifications
  • Marketplace optimization: Provide recommendations on the strategic use of tech levers across merchants, segments, and market conditions. Design and measure experiments to validate performance improvements
  • Issue identification and prioritization: Proactively surface key reliability issues and escalate them to Product teams for timely resolution
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Build strong relationships with Marketplace Operations and Tech stakeholders across Latin America, and collaborate with global peers to ensure alignment and share best practices
  • Data-driven insights: Extract and synthesize insights from complex datasets using SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools to inform strategy and action
  • Stakeholder management: Navigate complex relationships with influence, challenge assumptions when necessary, and ensure accountability across teams
  • Effective communication: Translate technical concepts and business recommendations into clear, compelling messages for both technical and non-technical audiences

What you'll need

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Python for analysis, scripting, and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to build dashboards and extract insights from BI tools
  • Proven experience managing stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams on shared goals
  • Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and the technology that supports marketplace performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence decision-making

Bonus points

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience with global or regional product launches
