About the Role
Uber Eats is seeking a Senior Merchant Analytics and Insights Manager with deep expertise in data analytics to help us become the most trusted and preferred delivery platform for our restaurant partners and merchants. This is a highly strategic and analytical role that requires strong data interpretation skills, a sharp business mindset, and a proven ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, data-driven frameworks that empower our Restaurant Operations and Sales teams to drive merchant success. Your core focus will be developing internal tools, automating performance tracking, and conducting advanced analyses to identify opportunities for sustainable merchant growth and improved operational performance.
This role is highly cross-functional and collaborative. You will work closely with stakeholders from Sales, Operations, Business Development, Legal, and other teams to lead high-impact initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes through data.'
Your Impact in Role:
- Drive Merchant Growth Strategy: Develop data-backed strategies and insights to help restaurant partners achieve sustainable growth. Analyze market trends, visualize key findings, and evaluate business implications.
- Build Scalable Reporting Infrastructure: Lead the development of automated reporting tools and dashboards that enable internal teams and merchant partners to operate efficiently and effectively.
- Accelerate Product Adoption: Partner with Sales and other stakeholders to build compelling business cases for new merchant-facing products and features, and support their go-to-market strategy and implementation.
- Improve Operational Efficiency: Continuously streamline business-as-usual operations to enhance execution quality, operational performance, and core business metrics.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Build strong relationships with global and local stakeholders, including Product, Central Ops, S&P, Marketing, and CommOps, to ensure alignment and successful execution of cross-functional projects.
The Experience You'll Bring:
- 6+ years experience in a dynamic environment, ideally with operational and analytical experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Advanced SQL knowledge, python and, Excel modeling
- Ability to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items
- Problem solver with strong project management and organizational skills
- Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results at a large scale
Preferred Qualifications
- Business level Japanese
- Proficiency in Salesforce
- A builder's mentality - comfortable developing something scalable where nothing existed before.
