Uber is expanding rapidly and we are looking to add a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to our EMEA team to support our growing international presence.

What You'll Do
- Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvements in our existing product lines and transactions
- Design, test and implement scalable solutions to the issues you identify
- Perform tax research (CJEU case law, country specific VAT legislation across the EMEA region) with the aim of improving existing products, deploying new features and reducing risks
- Assist with indirect tax audits across EMEA
- Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g. tax authorities)
- Provide indirect tax advice and support to the indirect tax team, regional tax leads and other business stakeholders
- Work with the tax team on unique and challenging new projects
- Liaise and manage external advisers to ensure Uber gets the best advice possible
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a sophisticated international indirect tax environment (in-house experience and exposure to VAT in EMEA is an advantage)
- Knowledge of indirect taxes across EMEA and a genuine passion for tax technical research
- Attention to detail. Being right the first time matters a lot to us
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Serious hustle, passion, 'can-do' attitude and positive outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- A second language is an advantage
- Experience in e-commerce is also an advantage
