Senior Associate, People M&A
About the Role
In People & Places, we handle all things people-related so our employees around the globe are empowered to do their best work. Our M&A People team partners with stakeholders across the whole business on all people-related matters during M&As and divestitures.
The Senior Associate, M&A People will be a proven project coordinator, organizer, and executor. We are looking for a team member to help support the M&A People Program, while coordinating a multitude of domestic & international projects and collaborating closely with leaders, HRBPs, and other key cross-functional partners.
You will need to be a doer who can think strategically, able to #seetheforestandthetrees, while driving complex projects to the best outcomes for the business and its stakeholders. You may not be the final decision-maker, but we will rely on you to track small details and surface key findings to shape the decision-making process.

What You'll Do
- Support, coordinate, and drive a robust M&A program (e.g., roles, responsibilities, processes, and tools).
- Coordinate several simultaneous workstreams from end to end, including developing and carrying out post-deal close integration project plans.
- Move quickly as a builder and a doer. You aren't an order-taker; you are a problem-solver who is highly organized and methodical.
- Support the team by thinking both strategically and tactically, with a persistent attention to detail and a high degree of ambiguity.
- Develop strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships and influence without authority.
- Provide clear communication of progress, roadblocks, updates, and future plans to the team, leadership, and key partners.
- Drive efficiencies while also finding opportunities to improve and scale the current model and minimize execution risks with regular improvements to the People M&A Playbook Suite.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience supporting complex projects & programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous project management experience in large-scale global projects
- Meticulous - your calendar can be crammed, but it's organized, manageable, and you don't miss a beat.
- Presentation skills - you can tell a meaningful story with a few key slides and are able to present that story to senior Leaders
- Strategic approach - you're comfortable thinking one week, one month, or one year ahead of where the team is now.
- Strong Analytics- Able to summarize a complex data set or process grid and distill into a simple slide or readout
- Curiosity - You want to learn about M&A and deal structures. You're innovative, creative, and look to optimize processes
- Communication skills - you have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to liaise positively with all levels and the ability to build and influence across a global, matrixed organization.
- Strong project management skills - ability to assist with the planning and execution of complex projects requiring coordination of work across multiple stakeholders, negotiations, and problem resolutions.
- M&A experience is a big plus, but not a requirement
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year.
