About the Role
As a key member of the Accounting team, you will be part of the OPEX GPO (Global Process Owner) team, driving high-impact initiatives focused on process excellence, system enablement, and transformation across all OPEX-related activities. This role requires close collaboration with Delivery Center leads, FinTech, Strategic Finance, Global Business Services (GBS), and various business partners to ensure streamlined, standardized, and optimized accounting processes.
You will help shape the future-state roadmap for OPEX accounting processes, with a focus on automation, controls, scalability, and global consistency.
What You'll Do
- Lead continuous improvement and process optimization across OPEX accounting systems and workflows.
- Define and enhance month-end close processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with FinTech and product teams to evolve enterprise solutions and drive global adoption.
- Translate business needs into detailed requirements, aligning with upstream and downstream teams.
- Leverage large datasets to deliver insightful flux analysis and operational metrics.
- Act as the escalation point for stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
- Identify automation opportunities and design scalable, efficient accounting processes.
- Own key internal controls, ensuring proper documentation, testing, and ongoing enhancement.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to support smooth audit cycles.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects, providing accounting subject matter expertise.

Basic Qualifications
- 8-10 years of relevant experience, including Big 4 assurance/audit and/or senior accounting roles in large, high-volume environments.
- CA or CPA certification required.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and public company audit standards.
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred).
- Strong grasp of the full accounting lifecycle: close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
- Proven experience leading accounting operations, audit support, internal controls, and transformation efforts.
- Skilled in coordinating with outsourced service providers.
- Strong analytical skills with Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables); experience with tools like Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Able to drive alignment, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver measurable impact.
- Global operations exposure and familiarity with international compliance frameworks is a plus.
