About the Role
We are looking to hire a highly motivated Senior Accountant on our Accounting Systems team focused on supporting all organization-wide data governance activities and process improvements!
In this role, you will serve as a critical cross-functional partner to teams across accounting, finance, FinTech, and financial risk management, helping to optimize full-cycle accounting operations through systems and processes. This is a highly dynamic environment where you'll have the autonomy to recommend and implement solutions, participate in system integrations and enhancements, and make a tangible impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting function.

What You'll Do
1. Administer accounting systems and serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting team and the FinTech
2. Partner closely with stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, Financial Risk Management, Project Management, and FinTech to align on systems and process improvements.
3. Lead end-to-end process improvement and automation initiatives through projects including system integration, enhancement, and implementation.
4. Supervise the GBS team, provide training, perform detailed review to ensure work quality, and continue improving the GBS team's operational processes.
5. Develop and maintain financial reports, analyze data for accuracy and efficiency, and support data governance efforts across the organization
6. Lead accounting close calls and facilitate accounting analysis.
7. Own and execute internal controls activities and maintain internal control documentation. Continue enhancing existing processes and internal controls.
8. Support external audit activities and ongoing internal audits.
9. Design and deliver related training to cross-functional partners.
10. Support management in completing special ad hoc projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or information systems
2. Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in accounting or systems
3. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with large-scale ERP or accounting systems (Oracle and BlackLine preferred)
2. High attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a good business judgment
3. Strong organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
4. Experience working within high-tech corporate environment
5. Team player, self-starter, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
6. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
7. Experience in supervising and reviewing work of others, including outsourced service providers
8. Strong understanding of GAAP and public company audit requirements
