Role Description

As a Sales Manager for Uber Direct, you will be responsible for driving new business across grocery, retail and channel partners. You'll identify and engage high-potential partners, pitch Uber Direct as a tailored solution, and guide businesses through the onboarding process. This role requires a self-starter with a proven track record in B2B sales, experience using Salesforce, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, legal, and product to help shape the go-to-market approach and deliver sustainable, scalable growth.

What You'll Do

  • New Business Development: Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities across target verticals for Uber Direct. Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.
  • Salesforce Management: Maintain accurate records of prospecting, pipeline, and performance in Salesforce. Leverage Salesforce insights to improve outreach strategy and sales forecasting.
  • Partner with Purpose: Understand client needs and tailor solutions to deliver maximum value. Build trust and credibility to support long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Product, Legal) to create seamless onboarding and scalable partner success.
  • Market Expertise: Stay on top of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform product positioning and sales strategy.
  • Experiment and Iterate: Test new approaches, learn from failures, and help shape sales playbooks and commercial strategy.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in SaaS, logistics, or delivery tech industries
  • Proven success in managing full sales cycles and consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce-reporting, pipeline tracking, and workflow optimization
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to tailor messaging to C-level audiences
  • Analytical mindset-comfortable interpreting data and using insights to guide decision making
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to structure win-win deals
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with a self-starter mentality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in or passion for the retail, grocery, or last-mile delivery space
  • Familiarity with logistics, delivery APIs, or ecommerce integrations
  • SQL or other data analysis tools experience
  • Experience working in high-growth tech or startup environments
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
