About the Role
The Safety Investigations Team Lead II (S4) at Uber is a pivotal position within our Community Operations organization, focused on ensuring the safety and security of our users by managing a team of dedicated Safety Investigators. As an S4 Team Lead, you will oversee complex and high-severity safety incidents, ensuring thorough investigations, timely resolutions, and adherence to Uber's safety standards. This role demands a blend of visionary leadership, operational management, and subject-matter expertise to drive performance and maintain high-quality support during critical incidents.

Your Impact in Role:
- Lead and Mentor: Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of Safety Investigators to navigate sensitive cases and deliver on operational key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Manage Performance: Oversee team performance, provide real-time feedback, and conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings to ensure continuous improvement.
- Handle Escalations: Manage high-severity escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement changes, and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a regular employee of Uber for at least 2 years
- Must have relevant work experience leading people manager
- Must be willing to work in 24x7 shifting schedules, weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years experience in a people manager role
- Must have extensive background in performance and SLA management
- Must be willing to work in 24x7 shifting schedules, weekends
- Must be willing to work primarily in the Mabalacat site
- Basic familiarity with COPC(r) High Performance Management Techniques (HPMT)
- Foundational knowledge with Lean Six Sigma
- Background in project management
- Experience using AI
