Regional Workplace Planning & Experience: APAC & EMEA
About the Role
The Regional Workplace Planner, is a key member of our Global Strategy, Planning & Transactions (GSP&T) team, dedicated to shaping and enhancing the work environments for our employees across the greater Asia-Pacific & EMEA regions. This role is pivotal in translating global workplace strategy into locally relevant and impactful experiences. You will be responsible for driving regional workplace initiatives, defining needs for projects, and ensuring our offices provide the right mix of space to foster innovation, collaboration, and productivity.
This role works in close partnership with regional Portfolio Planners, Design & Construction (D&C) Project Managers, and Workplace Operations teams, in response to the ongoing evolution of Uber's portfolio. Success requires a strong understanding of changing workforce dynamics, hybrid work models, and a passion for creating people-centric work environments.
The Impact You'll Have
Regional Workplace Planning:
- Subject matter expert on design functionality for regional workplace projects; ensuring consistent application of workplace guidelines and design principles.
- Define space requirements for new projects, both for the site selection as well as overall needs. Collaborate effectively with regional Portfolio Planners, D&C Project Managers, and Workplace Operations teams to translate business needs into space requirements.
- Work with Architects to interpret and apply design guidelines.
- Subject matter expert for workplace experience within the region, and support Workplace Operations with business interactions when needed.
- Use regional workplace metrics, utilization, and employee feedback to inform decision-making and contribute to global strategy refinement.
Evaluate Workplace Settings: Translate regional learnings to enhance global standards
- Assess new office setups within the extended region, ensuring alignment with global standards and proposing improvements or changes to guidelines when solutions are not functional.
- Champion and implement innovative workplace solutions tailored to the diverse needs of our APAC employees, enhancing productivity, collaboration, and well-being.
- Drive change management efforts needed to help employees in understanding and utilizing new features or benefits of their work environments.

- Approximately 6-10 years of experience in corporate workplace strategy, design, project management, or a related field, with experience in the EMEA/APAC markets in a global, matrixed organization.
- Direct experience managing workplace projects or strategy in multiple APAC markets.
- Proficiency in change management tools and principles
- Ability to interpret the space function relative to the work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of current workplace trends, hybrid work models, and their implications for office design and employee experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for developing practical solutions and the ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures within the EMEA/APAC region.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year.
