Regional Operations Manager (Courier), Delivery - EMEA
About the Role
In Uber Eats' Regional Operations, we support business growth by scaling impactful processes, driving local team support, and fostering innovation. The Courier Operations team focuses on acquiring, engaging, and retaining a compliant courier base across three areas: Courier Access (onboarding, compliance), Courier Engagement, and Account Integrity.
As the Regional Operations Manager for Courier Access, you'll lead strategy and execution for seamless onboarding and platform access for couriers, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving efficiency through automation. This role collaborates with local teams and global tech partners to develop a robust compliance program that balances safety, growth, and regulatory needs.
We're looking for someone who is meticulous, and reliable, with strong operational and product-oriented skills. The ideal candidate thrives in an evolving environment, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail at every step.
What You'll Do
- Subject Matter Expertise: Own specific areas like access configuration and document setup, acting as the main point of contact for related cross-functional issues.
- Product Rollout & Management: Oversee product rollout initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and seamless adoption across all target markets.
- Process Development & Optimization: Support local teams in compliance solutions, improving processes for efficient onboarding and platform access for couriers.
- Program & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate across teams (Operations, Product, Legal, Engineering, etc.) to ensure high standards in access management.
- Process Improvement & Scaling: Identify and address operational inefficiencies, scale best practices, and optimize market expansion efforts.
- Monitoring & Strategic Planning: Regularly assess compliance effectiveness, prioritize projects based on market needs and overall business impact.
- Thought Leadership: Partner with product and operations teams to set strategic goals, align with regional and company visions, and drive innovation in the access experience for earners.
What You'll Need
- At least 3+ years of experience in Compliance/access management, Business Operations or Product
- Strong stakeholder management, with experience working in diverse, cross-functional and global environments
- You have a strong inclination for execution and are very attentive to detail
- Hands-On Approach: You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges head-on
- Appetite for complex and detailed operations
- Eager to tackle technical challenges and passionate about technology
Bonus points
- Proven experience interpreting and communicating data and compex set ups to various audiences including leadership; ability to own a project impacting the EMEA region from design to implementation
- Proficiency in SQL is a strong plus
