About the Role
Global Buying Centre was formed two years back to handle the spend under a threshold of $250K USD globally because the Strat Sourcing team handles the high dollar spend only. The low to mid complexity level spend and the unmanaged spend comes under the purview of GBC which is now part of the P2P team. This role requires the person to be good at negotiations, spend analysis and must possess strong persuasion skills. This role is important from compliance, risk mitigation wrt third party spend and cost optimization perspective for Uber.
Your Impact in Role
- Overseeing the progress of projects handled by the team and guiding them on the negotiations and overall process for APAC and EMEA.
- Training team members on the process and generating SOPs for the new improved processes'.
- Handling and managing a team of 3- 4 resources from a third party.
- Reporting to the Manager and Global Lead for the Global Buying center about the savings targets and other goals, building relationships with senior stakeholders within and outside Sourcing, converting unmanaged spend to managed spend and coaching team on Docusign CLM and Coupa usage.
What You Will Need
- Sourcing and procurement experience (end to end procurement) along with people management skills.
- Must have worked in varied category sourcing in order to be able to guide the team members when they are working on projects of different categories like - technology, workplace, professional services, marketing and corporate services etc.
- Having a knowledge and hands on experience of spend analysis and analytics is also must for creating reports and dashboards.
- AI fluency - Gemini/ Chat GPT is needed for bringing efficiencies in the current system.
- Experience in Google Studio/ Tableau for the Analytics part is preferred.
- Process improvement/ Lean champion and Automation expertise preferred.
- Analytical bend of mind is needed for this role to handle large sets of spend files.
