Product Marketing Manager I, Retailer

About the Role

We're seeking a customer-obsessed, commercially-minded product marketer to lead Uber's global marketing strategy for our retail partners. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for building impactful programs that deepen partner engagement, increase awareness of key features and drive adoption of the tools that help retailers succeed. This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of product, marketing, sales and operations.

Every transaction in Uber's retail business relies on strong collaboration with retailers. You'll lead end-to-end product marketing for the newer categories in this portfolio from electronics to beauty to home improvement, shaping initiatives that empower retail partners to get the most out of our platform and deliver seamless experiences for customers.

What You'll Do

  • Cross-functional & Global Leadership: Partner with Product, Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Operations to align narratives and deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for retail partners. Guide central strategy while equipping regional teams with scalable resources and best practices tailored to local markets.
  • Messaging & Go-to-Market: Craft clear, compelling narratives that communicate the value of Uber's platform to partners of all sizes. Build and execute go-to-market plans that drive awareness, adoption, and retailer success across new features and initiatives.
  • Engagement Programs: Design and scale initiatives that inspire excitement, increase product usage, and support ongoing partner growth.
  • Education & Enablement: Create content, playbooks, and training that empower retailers to understand and maximize the value of new capabilities across the platform.
  • Research & Insights: Partner with Research to define learning agendas, leverage insights from retailer feedback, and use data to inform future product and marketing strategies.
  • Storytelling & Advocacy: Highlight success stories from both global and local brands, showcasing the impact of partnerships and building advocacy across the industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of marketing experience delivering highly successful engagement and acquisition strategies for businesses with 2+ years specifically in product marketing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Can articulate the essence of complex products and the value they create. Can develop a strong messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy plan.
  • The willingness and know-how to deeply understand the market, customers and competition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions.
  • Strong analytical skills - uses data to create insightful stories, inform strategies and guide decision making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a large number of teams across multiple countries, time-zones, backgrounds and functions to push projects to completion.
  • A hard-working, detailed, organized, and motivated self-starter, who enjoys challenges and is not deterred by complicated/complex situations.
  • Experience working on products for enterprise or SMBs
  • Retail or CPG industry experience

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$135,000 per year - USD$150,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$135,000 per year - USD$150,000 per year.
