Product Marketing Associate, Rider Content

Today San Francisco, CA

About the Role

Are you a creative, data-driven marketer eager to make a tangible impact on millions of users worldwide? As a Product Marketing Associate focusing on Uber's Rider Core Experience, you'll redefine how users engage with our platform through innovative in-app marketing strategies.

In this role, you would have the important task of figuring out how to maximize our in-app marketing, elevating the everyday experience for Uber riders globally. It is focused on crafting and testing compelling content and messaging that resonates with our 100M+ active users around the world. You'll partner closely with teammates across Product, Marketing, Research, Design, and Engineering to enhance how users understand and engage with Uber's core offerings (e.g., Uber XL, Uber Comfort, Uber Moto, and beyond).

You'll bring a creative and user-first mindset, paired with a curiosity for data and experimentation. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll have the opportunity to shape product narratives, contribute to go-to-market strategies, and run insight-driven tests to validate what works for diverse global audiences.

What You'll Do

  • In-app content roadmap: You'll own the rider experimentation roadmap for in app marketing channels. You'll use insights about our riders to develop different types of content across static imagery, copy, and videos to drive product adoption.
  • Identifying new content formats: In addition to standard product education, you'll test content of different formats to determine what best resonates with riders (e.g., short-form video, user-generated content, testimonials, social proof, thumbstopping content, etc.).
  • Scaling content globally: You'll take learnings from experiments and then scale campaigns to markets around the world. You'll also work to tailor content to key markets to ensure it best resonates with riders.
  • Seasonal moments: You'll identify the most important seasonal moments for mobility and which products are most relevant, and market them in those times to drive usage.
  • Content creation: Though you'll have agency creative partners, you also won't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and contribute to content creation yourself via copy ideas and design ideas (e.g., making assets in Figma or Canva).
  • Translating best practices: Externally, you'll look across the types of content other brands are testing in their marketing and bring them to life as experiments in our in-app channels. Internally, you'll act as the in-app marketing expert to make other marketers' campaigns even more effective.
