Product Designer II - Fleet Foundations

Today Amsterdam, Netherlands

About the Role

Uber Design teams create experiences that are thoughtful, scalable, and deeply intuitive. We design for clarity and control in complex systems, always putting the user at the center.

Join the Fleets Foundations team, where we're laying the groundwork for FleetOS, a new platform that will help fleet operators manage both human-driven and autonomous vehicles within Uber's ecosystem. As a Product Designer II, you'll help shape this platform from the ground up, setting the visual and interaction foundations for a tool that will power the future of fleet management.

FleetOS will support a wide range of users, from small business owners to large-scale mobility operators, and will need to handle complex workflows around vehicle assignment, trip visibility, issue resolution, and more. You'll be instrumental in defining core patterns, components, and layouts that will scale as the platform evolves

.

We're looking for a designer with strong visual design, experience working on enterprise web applications, and a solid grasp of design systems.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Own design problems end-to-end, from initial concept through launch
  2. Create wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes to solve complex UX problems.
  3. Design systems to create simple, elegant experiences, working with cross-function product stakeholders to define requirements, not just translate them to design.
  4. Identify future product and design opportunities, working as a critical thought partner to your counterparts in Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Operations.
  5. Present work in various mediums and fidelities throughout the design process.
  6. Give and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise our bar for quality.
  7. Partner with our UX research team to understand the needs of our customers and integrate findings into design approaches.
  8. Brainstorm, critique, and iterate with your Design colleagues.
  9. Engage in points of collaboration with Product Management, Data Science, Product Marketing, and Engineering to build your designs.
  10. Ship, measure, and improve your designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
