This is a hybrid position (50% in office) and you must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Chicago, Dallas, New York, San Francisco or Washington, DC.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Physical Security Core Systems Lead to manage, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure supporting our electronic physical security systems. This role is responsible for the servers, networks, and storage that host critical systems such as access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and visitor management platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong IT background combined with experience in physical security technology and systems integration.

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and infrastructure for physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV, VMS, alarms).
  • Administer and support security applications including Lenel/S2, Genetec, DMP, Honeywell, etc.
  • Monitor system performance, ensure uptime and data integrity, and perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
  • Collaborate with the security operations team and integrators to implement new systems, upgrades, and patches.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and system access in compliance with company policies and best practices.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with cybersecurity and data protection standards.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, perform diagnostics, and provide Level 2/3 support.
  • Create and maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and system architecture.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of physical security projects and system expansions.
  • Stay up to date on emerging security technologies and recommend improvements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing Windows servers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certifications, such as Genetec Synergis/Omnicast/Enterprise Certified, Windows Server Certified
  • Experience in global enterprise is a plus
  • Experience with physical security platforms (Genetec) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls).
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Cloud deployments, and enterprise storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$99,000 per year - USD$110,000 per year.

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$99,000 per year - USD$110,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$110,000 per year - USD$122,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$110,000 per year - USD$122,000 per year.

For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$110,000 per year - USD$122,000 per year.
