Partnerships Manager - New Verticals, Uber for Business
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and driven Partnerships Manager to join our Uber for Business New Verticals sales team.
In this role you will take ownership of the execution of a partnership pipeline, develop high-value partnerships to support today's business goals , and accelerate the growth bets of the future.
New Verticals Partnerships Managers work closely with internal partners and cross-functional teams to strategize and build compelling solutions that help customers achieve their business goals. You'll use your deep understanding of how specific industries or partnership verticals operate and the priorities that drive decisions to uncover business initiatives and challenges to map back to our solutions.
This role is part strategic partnerships, part business development, and part account management. You'll work directly with external executive stakeholders, API engineering teams, and internal cross-functional partners (Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Product) to bring new partnerships to life.
We're looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals, with a strong passion and creativity for sales and partnerships, to join our U4B team. You'll need to be comfortable leading complex deals, building relationships, and operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership. About The Team
The New Verticals Team is a team of industry-focused pods specializing in key emerging industries within Uber for Business - including Airlines, Automotive, Logistics, Hospitality/Entertainment, Expense Partnerships, and Government. This group of specialized sellers are building the foundation, finding new use cases, and industry experts for customers.

What You'll Do
- Build strategic relationships to gain positioning with decision makers
- Lead commercial negotiations and contracting for high-impact partnerships.
- Run technical discovery and collaborate with Uber's API team on implementation planning and tech syncs
- Own partnership launches, working with cross-functional teams to ensure we meet contractual obligations.
- Continuously assessing partners' and customers' evolving needs and aligning Uber for Business' value proposition
- Provide opportunity status by regularly updating stakeholders and participating in quarterly business reviews.
- Align on performance metrics for post-launch. You'll not necessarily be operating and executing the partnership, but setting joint expectations will enable operational pull-through
- Post-launch, facilitate the transition of the partnership to our partnership operations team to execute long-term growth strategies
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise account management, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience negotiating contracts and navigating commercial and legal terms of large, complex partnerships and/or closing high-value enterprise deals
- Experience in managing global technology partnerships, especially technical deals involving API products
- A deep understanding of vertical-specific industry landscape, customers, and high-level industry trends
- Clear, meticulous, adaptable, and dedicated team player who gets energy from building business.
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills with a solution-oriented approach to working with prospects and customers.
- Proven success in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, lead priorities, and succeed in a highly matrixed organization
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$100,000 per year - USD$111,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$110,000 per year - USD$122,500 per year.
