Oracle CoreHR Functional Lead
About the Role
As a Senior Oracle CoreHR Functional Lead for our People Technology team, you'll be a pivotal force in defining and executing the strategic vision for our cloud solutions on Oracle HCM Cloud Applications. You will drive critical collaborations with senior business stakeholders and engineering teams to transform the entire employee lifecycle, from recruit to retire, ensuring optimal efficiency, strategic alignment, and significant business impact.
This role isn't just about delivering solutions; it's about owning the holistic product portfolio and its lifecycle for Oracle HCM Cloud. You will be responsible for defining the long-term product roadmap, overseeing the entire product development process from conceptualization to implementation, and ensuring these solutions not only meet but exceed business needs. We're looking for an accomplished leader with deep, comprehensive expertise across multiple Oracle HCM Cloud products, including but not limited to Core HR, Recruitment, Time & Absence, Payroll, Journeys, and Talent Management. You are a proactive, visionary leader who thrives on continuous learning and adapting to change, adept at inspiring and empowering your team, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Provide executive-level advisory and strategic partnership to senior business leadership on HR technology enhancements and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, influencing key decisions and driving strategic outcomes.
- Serve as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle HCM solution architecture, proactively identifying systemic technical debt, championing innovative long-term scalability solutions, and ensuring architectural integrity across all products.
- Lead and orchestrate complex, cross-functional proof-of-concepts and solution designs, overseeing the development of comprehensive product documentation and partnering with functional consultants and engineering leaders to guarantee flawless execution and delivery.
- Drive the adoption and rigorous enforcement of best practice standards and guidelines, ensuring all end-to-end solutions are meticulously aligned, integrated, and optimized for performance.
- Define and implement robust processes for system configuration and solution documentation, establishing best practices and ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness across your team's deliverables.
- Strategically diagnose and resolve highly complex business problems, recommending innovative and impactful solutions that enable swift and confident decision-making across the organization.
- Provide overarching strategic guidance and oversight throughout the entire product delivery lifecycle, rigorously ensuring solutions consistently exceed business requirements and adhere to the highest quality standards.
- Continuously monitor, evaluate, and anticipate future Oracle HCM Cloud releases and industry trends, proactively identifying and championing opportunities to enhance our technological landscape, drive competitive advantage, and inform future product strategy.
- Cultivate and leverage high-impact strategic relationships across all levels of the organization, expertly navigating a complex matrix environment to build consensus, drive alignment, and achieve critical business objectives.
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, continuous growth, and accountability.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Oracle HCM Cloud implementation or configuration.
- Oracle module certification is strongly preferred or obtainable.
- Expert-level proficiency in Visual Builder Studio, HSDL, HDL, and SQL, with a proven track record of leveraging these for complex solution development and guiding technical teams..
- Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and building highly scalable and resilient solutions in Oracle HCM Cloud, showcasing a profound understanding of its capabilities, configurability, and extensibility to meet intricate business requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Exceptional expertise in identifying and resolving intricate system dependencies and possessing superior analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting multi-platform technical issues at an enterprise level.
- Outstanding executive-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders and driving consensus across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to strategically manage conflicting demands, prioritize initiatives, and consistently deliver high performance in exceptionally complex and ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the overall HR technology ecosystem, including intricate integrations with 3rd-party Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Payroll vendors, and an understanding of the vendor landscape.
- Broad business acumen and technology foresight with a keen awareness of emerging HR technology industry trends and their potential impact on enterprise strategy.
- Extensive experience using JIRA, Lucidchart, and other advanced project and portfolio management tools within the context of Agile and scaled Agile delivery methodologies.
- Deep expertise in working across other functional areas (Talent Management, Recruitment) and leading complex Integrations/Technical components, potentially across diverse HR tech stacks.
