Operations Manager, Global Marketplace Ops, Retail
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and customer-centric Operations Manager to join our Groceries and Retail business in the Experience and Quality team for Global Operations. You will play a key role in improving order quality, shopper proficiency, and customer satisfaction, ensuring consumers get what they need delivered on time and with high standards.
In this role, you will collaborate across multiple functions (Tech, CommOps, Merchant Operations, Catalog) to reduce defect rates, cancellations, and fraud, while ensuring accurate and seamless order fulfillment. You will focus on executing quality programs, generating insights, and supporting product launches that enhance the consumer, courier, and merchant experience.
This role is ideal for someone who is analytically strong, execution-oriented, and eager to learn how global operations and product intersect in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Program support & execution: Contribute to global quality initiatives, define and track goals/KPIs with guidance, and support execution of impactful workstreams across regions.
- Product collaboration: Partner with Product and Tech teams to validate requirements, support go-to-market planning for new features, and monitor performance post-launch.
- Performance monitoring: Track and report on Experience KPIs. Build dashboards, identify trends, and escalate insights to leadership for decision-making.
- Insights generation: Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify quality detractors and propose actionable improvements that can scale across markets.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with CommOps, Legal, and other Ops teams to ensure quality standards and compliance are maintained globally.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years in Operations, Strategy, Planning, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets; strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to diagnose problems and influence decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating programs or projects in fast-paced environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to dive deep into details while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including building presentations for leadership.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
