About the Role

We are looking for an individual who has strong operational and analytical skills, a strategic business sense, great stakeholder management and people management skills. In this role, you will lead a local team and partner with cross-functional teams to create and execute winner strategy and initiatives that will expand and drive growth of Uber's non core ridesharing products, understanding and better addressing our users pain points, creating solutions that fits each profile and launching, expanding and managing those new solutions of mobility. This is a key position that will allow you to make a big impact on the business and change the way people move in Brazil.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Strategic Ownership: Be the main advocate for a product vertical in Brazil helping to develop and implement strategy to achieve business priorities.
  • Business Sense: Monitor, understand, and interpret key operational and financial metrics to help figure out strategy and action plans. Develop and apply understanding of the levers that move our business.
  • Problem Solving: Identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple, practical solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend best approach - specially through team management
  • Process Optimization: Implement, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes across Brazil, regularly reviewing performance
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain productive working relationships with peers and cross-functional partners across operations, marketing, customer support, communications, policy, and legal to implement initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • +5 years experience in operations, business consulting, strategic planning, innovation or similar analytical role
  • Data-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
  • Planning & Organization: Ability to create project plans with project stages, milestones, basic interdependencies, and owners
  • Team Management: Deliver work through direct reports, leading them with respect and empathy but also challenging them to grow
  • Executional Excellence: Ability to work and accomplish multiple tasks in parallel, delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards
  • English proficiency: you'll need to be able to interpret and present information in English to various audiences, being engaging and comprehensive, but succinct on your speech
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and work well in a team. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and responsibilities. Maintains healthy working relationships, even in disagreements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with managing an extensive portfolio of products or a Business Unit, being able to understand their specific needs and design tailored solutions to drive growth within each business priority
  • Financial Acumen/Budget Management of Business Unit/Product: A strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and making sound resource allocation decisions.
  • Strong Communication (Verbal and Written): Excelling at conveying ideas, expectations, and strategies clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders, including direct reports, peers, senior executives, and external partners.
  • Experience with Google Sheets and SQL
