Manager, Strategy & Planning
About the Role
The US&C Delivery S&P team works closely with US&C Delivery Leadership to define US&C Delivery strategy, and deliver on key leadership priorities. The team plays an important role in working across all functions to provide strategic planning, reporting processes, and business insights, as well as assisting with internal operations to improve alignment, business understanding, and execution.
What You'll Do
The Manager, Strategy & Planning will own competitive delivery strategy & priorities, uplevel insights & analytics, drive business planning, and assist in building (+occasionally executing) overarching strategic priorities for the US&C Delivery business in partnership with the Head of US&C S&P, Delivery Leadership Team, and the broader Uber Delivery organization.
This role requires equal parts business insight, analytical skills, the ability to set vision (both to seek consensus and set direction for others), plus the humility to lead and mentor others.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or a related field.
- Experience setting strategic direction working with complex stakeholder groups on executional plans
- Entrepreneurial spirit - willingness to challenge the status quo and move quickly to test and learn new strategies and tactics
- An ability to build deep relationships across a broad organization, cultivate a fun and collaborative work environment, and identify problems from different perspectives. Humility and empathy are essential to success in this role
- High standards and a bias toward action. You can find the context and information you need through relationships across the organization, you push for clarity and delivery, and you hold a high bar from your contributions and those of the people you work with
Preferred Qualifications
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, including knowledge of statistics and proven experience in SQL and Python.
- Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic problems with a deeply analytical and data-driven approach.
- Financial acumen, understanding investments and different means of measuring return.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data, synthesize complex ideas, and extract relevant information.
- Excellent relationship management, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across functions in a matrix organization and comfort engaging senior partners and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly and effectively to senior business leaders.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year.
