About the Role
This Manager of Project Management will own a wide range of initiatives that govern how the AM&D legal team approaches, manages, and counsels for all AV deployments across mobility and delivery use cases, US and international markets, integrating safety, data sharing, fleet management, intellectual property, regulatory and privacy principles. You'll also work closely with cross functional business, operations, safety, fleet and other non-legal functions to launch autonomous vehicles across the Uber platform.
What You'll Do
- Be a catalyst to drive and manage complex cross-functional legal projects and initiatives that support the launch and scaling of autonomous mobility and delivery services, including self-driving vehicles and sidewalk robots.
- Deploy your organizational skills to develop and implement standardized processes, systems and templates, shaping and evolving our approach to programmatic legal support for emerging technologies
- Partner closely with legal subject matter experts and stakeholders in Product, Safety, Policy, Privacy, IP, Insurance, and Engineering to align legal strategy with product and operational goals.
- Be an active and trusted business partner by leading legal project planning, coordination, and execution across internal teams to ensure timely and successful execution and delivery of legal and regulatory initiatives.
- Stay on top of PRD reviews to identify risks, escalate issues, and facilitate resolutions that maintain momentum and support a fast-paced, innovation-driven legal environment.
- Monitor and track legal project KPIs, dependencies, and milestones while maintaining transparency with leadership and key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of ten (10) years of project management, operations, legal operations, consulting, or related experience.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for process design, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with program management tools (e.g., Asana, JIRA, Smartsheet) and KPI/reporting frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Uber or expertise in the logistics and platform businesses that make up our Go Anywhere-Get Anything portfolio, from Delivery to Sidewalk Robots, and from Mobility to Autonomous Vehicles.
- Strong, team-oriented collaborator, with confidence and flexibility to perform in nimble, rapidly changing and growing environments, as well as build relationships and gain credibility with business and legal partners.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and a track record of building new or improving existing programs or processes, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity, along with the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into practical plans and actionable steps..
- Adept at working in a dynamic, high-growth environment-able to prioritize effectively and pivot as needed.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to earn trust, build relationships, and foster a team-first culture.
- Enthusiastic about Uber and autonomous vehicles and a desire to have a big impact!
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
