About the Role:
The Automation team within Ads Measurement Science specializes in scaling advertising measurement analysis and insights, empowering the broader organization to move faster and smarter. Reporting directly to the Head of Measurement Science, the Automation Lead manages a dedicated team of analysts and coordinates closely with an offshore analytics team. The primary focus of this role is developing automated solutions that streamline measurement processes, enhance data consistency, and improve operational efficiency to address advertiser data needs.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts and automation specialists to foster innovation and operational excellence
- Coordinate effectively with a large offshore analytics team, ensuring alignment, timely delivery, and high-quality output
- Define the strategy and direction of automation initiatives, prioritizing workflow optimization, data pipelines, and measurement scalability
- Oversee the creation of dashboards and automated reporting solutions to provide actionable insights for sellers and advertisers
- Address complexities from decentralized advertising technology and varying data models by guiding the team to deliver standardized, consumable data products
- Explore the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance campaign targeting and optimization
- Guide the development of modeled data tables and standardized metrics to simplify internal data usage.
- Collaborate with Measurement Science, Product, Engineering, and Marketing stakeholders to align on business objectives and scalable solutions
- Establish quality standards and documentation practices for sustainable maintenance and ongoing improvement
- Communicate automation strategies, progress, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in AdTech, Data Analytics, Automation, Technology, or similar
- 1+ year experience in a people management role, leading direct reports
- Advanced knowledge of automation and data engineering practices, including APIs and data pipelines
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, including the ability to review, guide, and improve team members' technical outputs
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, adept at translating complex automation concepts clearly
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years' of professional work experience
- Deep advertising product experience, with experience leading automation projects
- Significant experience (5+ years) leading technical teams in automation, analytics, or data science within advertising or marketing contexts
- Prior hands-on experience (5+ years) designing and overseeing data products, analytics, and automation solutions
- Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency through automation initiatives in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Proven capability managing remote or offshore teams
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$212,000 per year - USD$235,500 per year.
