Customer Obsession AI team's mission is to create highly efficient and magical support experiences for Uber customers by leveraging the power of data and AI. We specialize in NLP, GenerativeAI and Computer Vision. We are a full-stack AI team working on LLM research, rapid model prototyping, robust evaluation systems, and reliable infrastructure for deployment scale. We are looking for candidates with deep expertise in NLP / GenAI and end-to-end experience launching large scale AI models in production.
As a member of the AI team, you will work in a fast-paced cross-functional team to develop GenAI based customer support assistants that can reason about complex support policies, find the right information, and resolve customer issues by providing personalized and accurate responses.

You role will involve
- Understanding the latest developments in GenAI and developing prototypes to solve Uber Customer Support challenges
- Working closely with senior engineers and PMs to design GenAI solutions that are robust and scalable
- Communicating your work through clear documentation and presentations
Basic qualifications
- M.S. or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. (If M.S. degree, a minimum of 2+ years of industry experience required and if Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience)
- Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of machine learning
- Comfortable with data analysis using SQL and Python
- Software engineering experience including version control, basic architecture design
- Experience developing and deploying ML models at large scale
