We are looking for a Lead for EMEA Supply operations, to build the freelance supply and build and manage processes across several geographies to help expand the network and footprint on the ground. This role will need to build sourcing channels, work with x-fn stakeholders to unlock different supply/sourcing channels optimizing onboarding & freelance experts lifecycle, partnering with core delivery and mobility teams and product teams to build, operationalize, and improve efficiency of the marketplace.
This role will work closely with both local and regional teams across regions and support the strategy and execution of how Uber AI Solutions attracts, acquires, and develops skilled gig workers at scale through technology, automation, and process optimization.
What the Candidate Will Do:
- Build GTM strategy for USS key supply markets and build online and offline supply acquisition channels
- Adopting innovative strategies for quality sourcing at scale, across multiple countries, understanding local nuances
- Utilize various sourcing tools and platforms to attract and monitor qualified candidate pools
- Shape and manage the programs: track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to management and project partners
- Build & improve processes, operational efficiencies, and identify automation opportunities
- Create and own incentive strategy to drive new freelancer acquisition on the platform via a portfolio of supply channels
- Lead a team of operations managers to activate and optimize onboarding and own the complete lifecycle & drive retention of the freelance gig knowledge workers
What the Candidate Will Need / Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in sourcing, onboarding, building gig marketplace and running business operations.
- Proven ability to lead and execute initiatives, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams, setting timelines, and ensuring smooth implementations in dynamic environments.
- Strong strategic and analytical bend of mind, skills in analyzing market trends, freelancer performance, and supply chain metrics to optimize supply operations, using tools like Excel, SQL, or similar for data-driven insights
- Ability to work efficiently and influence others without exerting direct authority
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
Bonus Points / Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience is sourcing and building supply base specializing in language translation, localization, and AI model training
- Understanding of AI models and prompt testing
