About the Role
Uber seeks a highly analytical and results-oriented operations specialist to join our Multi-Product Usage team and drive portfolio operations across Latin America. This pivotal role requires strong analytical skills to coordinate regional operations, accelerate growth, and improve regional efficiency, significantly impacting the business and transforming mobility within our countries.
The ideal candidate will be adept at modeling with extensive data, designing and executing experiments, and shaping the portfolio strategy for the region. They will also thrive in a dynamic environment by operationalizing processes and collaborating with various stakeholders regionally and globally.

- Strategic Ownership: Proactively identify business needs, and develop, lead, and implement multi-product and portfolio strategy to achieve business priorities in Latin America
- Business Sense: Monitor, understand, and interpret key operational and financial metrics to help figure out strategy and action plans. Develop and apply understanding of the levers that move our business
- Problem Solving: Identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple, practical solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend best approach
- Centralization & Automation: Complete and optimize core analyses and processes, and scale them across LatAm and beyond, regularly reviewing performance
- Product Improvement: Propose features or improvements that could improve the experience and efficiency of our marketplace, measure their impact, and collaborate with Product teams around the world to implement launches
- Stakeholder Management: Lead cross-functional initiatives by building close working relationships with the immediate regional team, as well as partners in the HQ Product and local Operations teams, assertively communicating and presenting ideas, findings and insights to assist and guide decision-making, ensuring alignment with business objectives
What You'll Need
- Data-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture.
- Data Analytics: Proficiency in tools and languages like SQL and Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets. Hive and Spark proficiency is a plus
- Communication: English proficiency. Ability to interpret and present data to various audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner
- Executional Excellence: Ability to effectively manage and prioritize complex operations that require the support of peers and other teams, and deliver results in a fast changing environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Teamwork: Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and work well in a team. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and responsibilities. Maintains healthy working relationships, even in disagreements
- Statistics and Modeling: Work experience with exploratory data analysis; statistical analysis and testing; and model development
- 5+ years of professional experience
