The Head of SMB Sales is a unique opportunity to develop, define, and drive Spain's Sales strategy alongside the Spain GM and Territory Leads in one of Uber Eats' largest investment markets globally. In this central role reporting to the GM, your primary focus will be to sign the best restaurant selection to the Uber Eats platform in Spain and build a winning Sales strategy, team, and organization. As a Sales Manager, you will ensure the right people and processes are in place while closely collaborating with leadership to complete both short and long-term territory goals. Team Management

  • Build an efficient Sales org to drive efficiencies, ownership, and accountability
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of high performing Account Executives to complete inbound and outbound merchant acquisition or growth initiatives
  • Provide hands-on mentor for a team to ensure they meet and exceed monthly target business goals
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed
  • Incubate new territory sellers to ramp to strong commercial efficiency and overall business knowledge, and share feedback on individual performance with new hire managers Execution
  • Lead new sellers onboarding program from day 1 through graduation of ramp period
  • Work directly with leadership to understand and establish the OKRs and goals for a sales team
  • Exceed monthly sales targets/goals and successfully complete all activities that drive revenue generation
  • Implement strategic sales coaching, planning, and forecasting as determined by leadership
  • Build and lead territory-specific sales training initiatives, and collaborate with Sales Ops and Enablement teams as relevant
  • Work closely in a matrixed environment with local operations, BD, marketing, strategy, analytics, finance, and other senior leaders in the region and at HQ to set strategy and drive execution

Business Acumen

  • Understand the overall sales strategy that will sustain the leading position and drive the growth of Uber Eats including: densification, local favorites, and new categories
  • Use data from Salesforce and Sales Operations team, market, and industry knowledge to coach teams, share best practices, and troubleshoot how to sell the Uber Eats products with integrity

Customer Centricity

  • Help design processes that solve issues at scale and improve the efficiency of our teams and the experience of our restaurant partners, whether it be sprint planning, lead prospecting, qualification, pitching, closing, or onboarding

What You'll need:

  • You are data-driven and take an analytical approach to defining your Sales strategy: one size doesn't fit all
  • You are a Sales guide with strong prospecting, negotiating, and relationship skills: from closing large, national Enterprise restaurants to small SMBs, you are willing to get your hands in the weeds and lead from the front
  • Experience in hands-on training, coaching, and development of Sales teams
  • Experience sourcing and driving partnerships to closure
  • Proven track record of success in leading a team to exceed revenue goals
  • Experience with both Field/Outside Sales & Inside Sales preferred
  • Experience working across a matrix organization to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead sophisticated, multi-layered deals
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English
