Head of Regulatory Operations - US&C Delivery

San Francisco, CA

About the Role

This role will take strategic ownership for regulatory compliance and optimization in the US&C and build out this new function for Delivery. This person will partner closely with Legal, Policy, Product, Operations, CommOps and other cross-functional teams to respond to new regulations, optimize compliance for existing regulations, and maintain best practices and develop proactive regulatory strategy. We need an experienced leader who understands the nuances of regulatory and compliance processes, can effectively design and manage complex processes, and partner cross-functionally to advocate for changes.

What You'll Do

  • Define and build this new function to support the US&C Delivery business, including setting the vision, building the team, collaborating with territory GMs to meet our regulatory requirements while enabling strong business outcomes, and establishing regional subject matter expertise on regulations across all sides of the marketplace
  • Serve as the central operations owner in the US&C region for Delivery regulations across all sides the marketplace; near-term (~6-12 months) this role will primarily be focused on earner-related regulations and expand across all sides of the marketplace over time
  • Partnering across Operations (territory and other other central teams) and Tech teams to influence, and in some cases manage, deactivation processes for US&C earners to align with local regulatory and compliance requirements. This team will serve as the subject matter expert on regulatory and compliance requirements for deactivations.
  • Driving product alignment on key priorities across US&C to ensure we can minimize regulatory risk while still optimizing for our business outcomes, which will include collecting product feedback and advocating in product planning processes
  • Working with the central compliance team and legal team to document new and existing processes and ensure compliance. This will also include initial partnership with Territories to jointly document existing processes already in place.
  • Working with Comm Ops to stand up processes to gather compliance insights and fix any issues across our existing support policies and processes
  • Serve as a regulatory subject matter expert to drive and support local Operations teams to develop, launch, and optimize regulatory processes. This team will be directly responsible for all new regulatory processes.
