Global Head of Marketing, Uber Advertising

Today San Francisco, CA

About the Role

Uber has revolutionized the way the world moves-powering the culture of now with the tap of a button.

Before Uber, people planned ahead-booking taxis in advance, calling ahead for deliveries, and making arrangements to meet their needs. Then Uber changed everything. We redefined how people move, how they eat, and what they expect from the world around them. We created the on-demand economy, making "now" the new standard.

Every minute, thousands of people step into an Uber, get food delivered through Uber Eats, or move goods through our platform. Uber isn't just a tech company-we're the default choice for movement.

This expectation of immediacy extends beyond movement. Our platform delivers real-time engagement, ensuring ads align seamlessly with consumers' needs in the moment-whether they're craving a meal, stocking up on essentials, or heading to their next destination.

We're looking for an experienced Marketing Leader to own and accelerate the growth of Uber Advertising, a strategic priority for the company.

In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for the full scope of marketing, from setting the brand vision to driving growth across the entire funnel. You will serve as a key steward of the Uber Advertising brand, elevating our presence and reputation with key audiences.

This position requires a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong point of view on the ads industry. You will work in close partnership with our General Manager and global Sales teams to drive measurable business results. The ideal candidate is passionate about media and has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, and collaborating cross-functionally to strategize and execute with excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a holistic brand strategy for Uber Advertising and its various sub-brands/products/platforms, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Work with measurement science to conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and audience segmentation to identify brand opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and drive the end-to-end marketing strategy, from brand-building to growth initiatives.
  • Create a clear framework to measure marketing's contribution to the business including brand studies and demand metrics.
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to launch new content, promote existing properties, and enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with content development, production, sales, and PR teams to ensure brand consistency and maximize impact across all touchpoints.
  • Identify and manage external agencies and vendors as needed for creative development, media buying, or specialized marketing initiatives.
  • Identify the right talent to deliver against your goals, and lead and develop an impactful team of marketing professionals.
  • Serve as a visionary leader, driving a customer-first mindset to evangelize the Uber Advertising brand and its value proposition to senior stakeholders, key industry influencers, and internal teams across the organization.
