General Manager, Global Head of Uber Health

Today Seattle, WA

About the Role

We are currently seeking a General Manager to lead Uber Health through its next phase of growth.

This person will be responsible for accelerating Uber Health's existing strategies, developing "what is next," and executing successfully. This will require a deep understanding of the market opportunity, capability to foster connection with partners and customers, and ability to mobilize a matrixed team to execute on the vision.

Uber Health currently operates in five countries: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. It taps into existing reimbursement structures for "supplemental benefits" of non-emergency medical transportation, prescription delivery, groceries, and over-the-counter items. Uber Health's product allows it to expose access to these benefits across the healthcare ecosystem vs. in a single call center. For example, a patient could receive those benefits in the traditional call center, via their case manager, via their healthcare provider, via a social worker, or directly via a flexible spending card in the Uber app. The serviceable addressable market is >$50B and larger with geographic expansion.

Uber Health is in the early innings of expansion having secured initial contracts or verbal contracts from most major health plans, but needs to execute properly and follow through on the "license to hunt" to continue on its growth path. A clear vision, interaction with customers, and lock-step mobilization of the client facing, operations, marketing, product and technology teams is crucial to success.

Additionally, there is a lot Uber Health can do to engage the lives on the platform once acquired. Thinking internally and with customers about "what's next" will be crucial to multi-year success of the Uber Health trajectory

Uber Health has grown approximately 6x over the past 3 years and has >3000 customers. The GM would be responsible for the strategy and execution of ~70 direct teammates and an additional ~50 on partner teams.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the spokesperson for Uber Health externally (potential commercial partners, media, government officials, etc) and internally
  • Lead the Uber Health team in the pursuit and execution of the strategy injecting energy, building momentum and a one-team spirit
  • Forge, develop and nurture relationships with key partners that fit into our go-to-market strategy. From relationship building and due diligence, contract negotiations, to post-contract integration and expansion
  • Explore and measure opportunities in adjacent areas that might offer natural growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in operations and product to bring 'first of their kind' partnerships to life
