About the Role

Uber is looking for an experienced technical leader to lead and drive the creation, build, and operations of a suite of financial services globally. This role oversees the build and business performance of financial services on adoption, growth, and financial contribution metrics, as well as its ability to support and further enable Uber's mobility and delivery businesses. It will also ensure all products are built and comply with any regulated countries they may be operating within.

What You'll Do

  • In collaboration with Uber's global leadership and employing local market knowledge, implement and execute Uber's global financial product strategy;
  • Oversee P&L performance and growth and profitability targets
  • Work alongside the product organization and Uber's businesses in launching features and products that will drive growth in the financial services sector of the business
  • Partner closely with Uber's mobility and delivery businesses to provide the right level of "service", and to ensure any new features or products created in the future are adding new value to these businesses
  • Support the growth of financial services and revenue in a highly crowded and dynamic space
  • Closely collaborating with the Business Development team to design and implement the vital partnerships required for the success of financial services, with a significant emphasis on partnerships
  • Technical leadership when it comes to designing, launching, and operating financial products
  • Build strong relationships with Uber's senior leadership in Product, Engineering, Business Development, Policy, Tax, Regulatory, and Strategic Finance to ensure the right level of support and collaboration
  • Lead a high-performing team across multiple countries with different cultures, languages, and working hours

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years of work experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or tech with 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience building financial solutions in a regulated industry in a fast-paced, technology-savvy environment
  • Solid understanding and background in handling risk and governance issues
  • Technical expertise in the design and build of a financial product portfolio
  • Experience in managing relationships and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Impeccable judgment, integrity, and ability to set an ethical example
  • English fluency
  • MBA a plus

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year.
