As a General Manager Benelux at Uber, you will lead growth and innovation across 3 markets: Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to ensure the long-term success of Uber in the sub-region. This role requires someone who is happy to lead from the front along with excellent collaboration across different functional and specialized teams. You should be able bridge the gap with the city, Regional, and HQ teams. The General Manager will be an integral part of the Northern Europe Leadership Team, has P&L responsibility and can contribute to all areas of the business.

What You'll Do

  • Own the day-to-day operations and full P&L responsibility for the Benelux region.
  • Define, lead, and continuously evolve the growth and innovation strategy across the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • Protect and optimize the operating model-anticipate and mitigate legal and tax risks while unlocking growth through model evolution.
  • Drive execution of strategic, cross-functional initiatives including partnerships, new product launches, loyalty programs, and sustainability efforts.
  • Act as the local spokesperson in both markets, managing external relations with key stakeholders and public entities.
  • Track and report on the performance of key initiatives, ensuring both operational and financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing local operations team (5 direct reports), fostering a culture of ownership and impact.

What You'll Need

  • 8-10+ years of leadership experience in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, business development, or similar fields.
  • Proven success managing complex projects and teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a strong bias for execution and operational excellence.
  • Sharp analytical skills and sound business judgment-you know what drives marketplace value.
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience representing a company in public or media-facing roles is a plus.
  • Resilience and a track record of navigating ambiguity or adversity.
  • Willingness to travel across the region to engage with teams and partners.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English required; French is a strong plus.
