Fintech Cloud Platform Administrator

This role is crucial for managing and evolving our modern financial technology stack, which spans Oracle Cloud (including OCI, Oracle EBS, and Exadata), SaaS applications (such as Oracle ERP and EPM Cloud), and a robust middleware platform (including MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, OIC, and Dell Boomi). The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of expertise in cloud infrastructure, application administration, and integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Management:
• Serve as the primary owner for the setup, administration, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
• Manage cloud instances, Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), storage, and other infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor cloud usage, costs, and resource allocation to maintain budget and efficiency.
• Customize infrastructure setup and configurations, and implement automation where feasible.
• Oversee the administration and health of our SaaS Cloud Accounts and Oracle PODs, including application maintenance and configuration.
• Handle database backups, restores, and recovery scenarios.
• Implement and fine-tune disaster recovery solutions, such as Active Data Guard.
• Proactively review database architecture to optimize and simplify performance.
• Perform performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Create and maintain effective monitoring dashboards and customized database alerts.
• Plan and execute environment cloning for non-production environments.
• Middleware Platform
• Lead the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of our enterprise middleware platforms, including MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Dell Boomi.
• Develop and manage middleware DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, code repositories (e.g., GitHub), and ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure integration best practices are followed.
• Network & Security Expertise:
• Possess a strong working knowledge of network setup and configuration for the infrastructure supporting Oracle OCI, SaaS environments, and the middleware platforms.
• Implement and maintain security policies and compliance in cloud environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain security and threat detection models for the entire technology stack.
• Ensure all infrastructure and integration points adhere to Uber's EngSec policies and industry best practices.
• Manage and support SOX audit requirements for all cloud infrastructure.
• Strategic Enhancement & Maintenance:
• Actively participate in the planning and execution of database migrations, upgrades, and new platform enhancements.
• Provide expert support and troubleshooting for complex incidents, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to ensure maximum uptime and performance stability.
• Work on automation and scripting for time-consuming DBA tasks and critical project deliveries.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud, integration, and security to provide strategic recommendations.

• Proven experience in managing and administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including a deep understanding of OCI services (Compute, Network, Storage).
• Demonstrable expertise in a SaaS-based environment, specifically with Oracle SaaS Cloud Accounts and Oracle PODs.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with enterprise middleware platforms, including MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Dell Boomi.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD best practices for middleware platforms, with practical experience using tools like GitHub and JIRA.
• Solid understanding of network configurations (e.g., VPN, Transit Gateway, VCNs) in a cloud-native and hybrid environment.
• Expertise in cloud security principles, threat detection models, and security best practices for both infrastructure and applications.

• +10 years of experience as an Oracle EBS and EPM Applications DBA and Middleware platforms
• Experience with Weblogic and Exadata.
• Master-level Oracle troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Operating system experience in Linux and MS Windows
• Knowledge of database security (encryption, compression), partitioning, and indexing.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, both within a team and working across teams.

• Relevant Oracle Cloud or MuleSoft certifications.
• Experience with other integration platforms or DevOps tools.
