About the Role
Uber's Strategic Sourcing Corporate Services team is responsible for developing and executing corporate services strategies across a range of indirect categories, including HR, Legal, Travel, Aviation, Security, and Places & Real Estate.
As the Director of Indirect Procurement - Corporate Services, you will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies for indirect spend, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives. Your role will involve leading initiatives to implement global purchasing policies, practices, and procedures for indirect expenses, focusing on industry best practices.
You will provide subject matter expertise in sourcing and contract negotiation, including identifying new sources and programs for indirect goods and services, all while delivering strategic benefits in cost, quality, responsiveness, and continuity.

What You'll Do
- Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, travel, and HR, to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives in support of broader business goals.
- Develop and execute global category strategies for indirect spend, aligning them with overall business goals.
- Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in indirect procurement categories.
- Develops and manages supplier relationships, ensuring performance, risk mitigation, and innovation.
- Oversees contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.
- Drives process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in procurement operations.
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management, ideally in corporate services categories (ie HR, Legal, Travel, Facilities, etc.).
- 5+ years people management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change management and influence stakeholders, resulting in cost savings, improved service quality, and enhanced operational reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead RFI/RFP processes, data analysis, cost modeling, contract negotiations, and supplier business reviews.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in global sourcing or indirect procurement.
- Experience managing a globally dispersed team.
- An MBA or an advanced degree in the following fields: Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, Business Management, or Finance.
- Experience implementing hybrid workplace strategies and flexible office solutions.
- Proven ability to optimize corporate services portfolios and reduce operational costs while improving workplace experiences.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$216,000 per year - USD$240,000 per year.
