About The Team: Since launching the service in Japan in Sep. 2016, Uber Eats has become deeply rooted in the local food culture, both shaping and celebrating it, and helping small and large businesses connect with customers. We have seen incredible customer love and acceptance over the past seven years of Uber Eats in Japan. We started in Tokyo and now our service is nationwide in all 47 prefectures. 2024 brings a new chapter of the Delivery story, our vision is to 'deliver anything, to anyone, at anytime' and our goal is to make Uber a daily essential in people's life.
About the Role
We are seeking an operations manager to join us in elevating the earner experience in Japan. This role sits at the intersection of product and operations, offering a unique opportunity to shape the next-gen earner experience.

Your Impact in Role:
- Lead local go-to-market strategies and execute timely product launches in coordination with regional and APAC teams.
- Strengthen the earner engagement by resolving product issues with engineering and delivering impactful communications and education.
- Develop and execute communication strategies for cross-functional projects to maximize the impact of each project.
The Experience You'll Bring:
- Native-level Japanese or strong Japanese writing skills; business-level English proficiency.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to drive projects to completion in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in data analysis and a data-driven mindset to inform decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to foster collaboration and drive initiatives forward.
- Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Growth mindset: You are a proactive learner with a "can-do" attitude - you can pick up skills and knowledge quickly and are excited to become the expert on topics within the team
- Fluency in SQL is a plus (prior knowledge of SQL is not required but you will be expected to learn it ASAP once you join).
- Communication: You have clear communication skills (verbal and written) to deliver insights and recommendations and to work with other team members
- Collaboration: You can collaborate and coordinate well with a mix of cross-functional teams to move projects and launches forwards
- Business acumen: You can prioritize effectively, recognize when business needs shift, and pivot quickly in response
