About the Role
- We're looking for a communications professional to join our UK Communications team. The role will be based in London and will report into our Director of Communications UKI.
What You'll Do
- Tell our stories in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with journalists and our key audiences
- Design and lead proactive PR campaigns to help advance business objectives for Uber Eats in the UK
- Work with reporters on a daily basis, juggling a combination of proactive and reactive communications efforts that enhance our brand and reputation
- Build a strong network of relevant media contacts across the UK
- Manage corporate issues
- Act as a spokesperson for Uber Eats
- Be a trusted partner to UKI executives

What You'll Need
- Strong command of the media, policy, and cultural landscape and an existing network of media contacts in the UK.
- Strong strategic capabilities and proven ability to develop proactive communication strategies that cut through and drive measurable results
- Creativity and drive to tell compelling stories for lifestyle, consumer and product media
- Experience in issues management and explaining complicated topics to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to build relationships cross-functionally
- Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail, in the face of frequent inbound enquiries and other requests
- Excellent news (and overall) judgment, as well as exceptional writing and communications skills
- 6-8+ years of experience in communications, PR and/or journalism, or an agency
