Business Development Team Lead
About The Role
The Business Development Team Lead is a unique opportunity to build and manage a team of Field Sales Representatives that will launch multiple cities across Europe. The Team Lead will establish a highly achieving, resourceful and motivated team of sales and acquisition experts that will be Uber's first boots on the ground. These teams will develop strong expertise in offline driver acquisition (slanging, registration points, stands at airports etc.) as well as early stage ecosystem building (i.e. fostering and managing a network of key referrers). They should also be able to identify and escalate funnel bottlenecks that could prevent us from fully unlocking our target markets. In order to deliver on the above, you will work closely with the UK Operations team, the Field Growth Manager as well as the Regional Operations Lead overseeing the expansion program. The Regional Operations Lead will be heavily invested in the success of this project and will be involved in the day-to-day operations.
What You Will Do
- Communicate and set clear expectations with team members
- Coach and develop sales agents
- Understand local Ops strategies and ensure team operations are aligned to maximize impact
- Drive strategic plans to improve team performance
- Work with stakeholders in Ops and Sales for reviewing output and pushing sales strategy/tactics down to CommOps team
Basic Qualifications
- 2-3 years of sales or account management experience
- At least 1 year of people management experience
- People development and coaching experience in team environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with ability to manage through ambiguity
- Experience in face to face sales
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B/B2C sales environments
- Experience in project management
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- High level of ownership and accountability
