Business Analyst - Rider Growth, Uber Shuttle
About the Role
Operations is all about how we run the business. The High Capacity Vehicles (HCV) Operations team builds, scales, and optimises how we run Uber Shuttle operations to deliver on our promise to riders, drivers, fleets, and clients.
The Business Analyst - Rider Growth will be responsible for the entire rider lifecycle management with a strong focus on new rider acquisition and retention. Strong analytical acumen and technical skills are required to experiment and iterate on the execution strategy. This role is best suited for people who have prior experience in growth and business analytics and are comfortable with a hands-on approach. You will need to have a bias to action and adopt a consultative and iterative approach to solving problems - big and small.
You will work closely with the Central Rider team and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and progression towards the business objectives.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Data-Driven Problem-Solving: Apply structured problem-solving approaches & frameworks, enriched by robust data analysis to tackle new and ambiguous problem statements.
- Growth hacking: Experiment with cost-effective levers and iteratively build up the new rider growth handbook, bringing in best practices to accelerate rider growth.
- Drive sustainable growth: Identify opportunities to drive growth from existing users and manage churn. Initiate and run experiments to drive efficiency in the overall growth funnel.
- Be a self-starter: Take initiative to solve new problems as they arise. We're a new business, and there's a lot that we don't know.
What the Candidate Will Need
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment, solving for consumer growth
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets, including strong data visualisation and using data analytics to drive actionable insights.
- Consumer growth experience driving different initiatives (e.g., marketing, incentives, product-led initiatives).
- Experience building consumer insights using multiple data sources (e.g., focus groups, surveys).
