Role Overview

The APAC Central Safety & Enablement Lead is a strategic and operationally critical role responsible for driving safety and enablement initiatives for the XPS (Cross Platform Services) team across the APAC region. This individual will ensure the alignment of regional priorities with global initiatives, fostering a unified and results-driven approach to both safety management and team enablement. The role requires a combination of strategic thought leadership and hands-on execution to ensure safety initiatives and product rollouts are seamlessly aligned with regional needs and global best practices, while also enhancing team efficiency and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Program Ownership

  • Serve as the primary leader for APAC Central Safety & Enablement, overseeing initiatives and ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Define clear success metrics for safety and enablement programs and ensure their delivery.
  • Drive process standardisation, streamline workflows, and enable Safety product/ policies improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner closely with regional & global stakeholders (Safety Program Leads, GSPI, Safety Ops, as needed) to ensure seamless execution of priorities.
  • Foster strong partnerships to ensure priorities are effectively addressed and aligned across functions.
  • Manage XFN and CX-wide meetings and newsletters to ensure seamless alignment across stakeholders.

Regional-Global Liaison

  • Act as the bridge between regional and global teams, working closely with GSPI to implement initiatives that reflect the unique needs of the APAC region.
  • Identify regional requirements and influence global priorities to ensure the effective adoption of global safety and enablement strategies.
  • Advocate for APAC-specific innovations, regulatory considerations, and cost efficiencies to ensure the region's needs are reflected in global strategies.

Financial Prudence

  • Handle financial planning at both strategic and operational levels, including leading the annual financial planning process, which includes detailed, bottom-up planning and serves as the backbone of the strategy for the year ahead.
  • Regularly oversee financial performance and lock-ins and ensure markets are adhering to their plans.

Impactful Program Expansion and Team Enablement

  • Play a critical role in scaling safety projects and ensuring initiatives align with regional and global objectives.
  • Drive team efficiency projects, including promoting Gen-AI adoption for streamlined workflows and leading Pulse initiatives to measure and enhance team sentiment.
  • Lead strategic projects aimed at elevating communications, enhancing feedback loops, and improving team processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a high-growth technology company/ Consulting/ global companies. Record of accomplishment delivering success in high-performing business organisations, and one who has program management experience
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to tell clear, compelling stories out of complex issues and analysis
  • Experience in strategy and planning, governance and reporting, setting metrics
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership in a constantly changing work environment
  • Strong background of being a respected operational problem solver
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and presenting data to various audiences; ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans to influence senior leadership
  • Ability to design processes and frameworks without a prescribed template
  • Experience managing projects with cross-functional local and global stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Data-driven decision-making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
  • Stakeholder management - Comfortable influencing discussions at the highest levels and a demonstrated ability to find common ground and align stakeholders with conflicting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a safety leadership role within the APAC region
  • SQL knowledge would be a plus
