Analytical Products Lead, EMEA BizOps

Today Amsterdam, Netherlands

About the Role

The EMEA BizOps team is responsible for building and continuously improving an advanced ecosystem of business data, tools, experiments, models, processes & controls, and using this ecosystem to identify, execute and deliver new, scalable opportunities to drive biz value and growth, typically in partnership with other EMEA teams. This ecosystem empowers every Mobility Operations staff member to understand the ground truth of our business quickly, and drives increasing maturity of our operations month-by-month, year-by-year.

The Analytical Products Lead is responsible for enabling all EMEA Operations staff to get access to the data and analytics they need to make decisions, within minutes. The role also drives continuously increasing maturity of how we measure and interpret data, and how we visualise and analyse it.

To achieve this, the Analytical Products Lead drives an EMEA AP roadmap, aligned to global BizOps and yet meeting the needs of regional stakeholders (from senior leaders to junior analysts...). They will capture requirements for new data, new metrics, new visualisations, new tools, new functionality, automations, visualisations, diagnostics, alerting, etc. Whatever needs to exist to enable Ops teams to operate is the concern of this role.

The role is also responsible for facing off to our Amplify centre of excellence, and reviewing / prioritising the work that is requested of the CoE by Ops stakeholders. In doing so, the Analytical Products Lead ensures that we are allocating scarce, technical resources to the most important and/or urgent activities. They also ensure that everything that we build maps to the roadmap, and helps to evolve and further our capability, rather than duplicating, contradicting or even introducing complexity and risk.

Through these efforts, the Analytical Products Lead drives increasing maturity across EMEA Operations, enabling teams and leaders to spend less time looking at the past and more time anticipating the future, making decisions and driving Uber forward!

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Drive Metric Alignment & Governance: maintain alignment market-by-market on critical Operations metrics (definitions, owners, lineage, SLAs), within a global BizOps framework. Capture new metric requests and govern/prioritise these, in order to meet local needs but also ensure that all new or updated metrics are published globally
  2. Develop advanced analytical capabilities; in partnership with the Global BizOps team, design and implement a number of analytical tools as required locally and/or to support the global roadmap. Actively configure bespoke regional variations to existing tools
  3. Actively review and prioritise Centre of Excellence resource staffing against analytics and automation projects, translating user needs into a sprint based implementation model, and ensure timely delivery of quality tools, analytics and analysis
  4. Rationalise existing dashboard and analytical tool infrastructure: automatically track all new dashboards and evaluate them vs. analytical products roadmap; avoiding duplicating while encouraging innovation, and then incorporating the best features and visualisations into strategy & core tools
  5. Develop and govern quantitative and contextual information sources to evolve EMEA Mobility's body of knowledge, powering an ever-increasing maturity of understanding, enabling us to increasingly monetise our data advantage
  6. Act as the single point of contact for all Analytical questions and issues within EMEA Mobility, and help to unblock business projects and issues via the use of data and tooling, including bespoke rapid solves where necessary
  7. Actively build stakeholder relationships across markets and with tech / AI teams, in order to ensure that we 'pull through' the best and most relevant capabilities in ways that best align to our operations customer needs
