Account Representative, Outbound Sales
About the Role
Whether it's a sandwich, a burrito, or groceries, the Uber Eats team builds technology to connect people with what they want, when and where they want it. Our Sales and Account Management teams are on the frontline introducing restaurant partners to Uber Eats and partnering with restaurants to grow our businesses together.
As an Outbound Sales Representative, you'll build strong relationships with the best restaurants to deliver a big impact on the restaurant selection on UberEats. We are looking for someone who is ready to get going quickly, knows where the best restaurants are, is passionate about food, and enjoys building great partnerships. Your primary focus will be bringing on new restaurants and using your pitching, negotiating, and driving internal processes skills to set up our partners for success. Next to that, you will partner with restaurants to make sure they are onboarded in the platform and grow together with Uber Eats to reach new heights.
What you'll do
- Build and manage a sales pipeline, leveraging your local knowledge to expand the restaurant selection available for customers.
- Own the entire end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to contract negotiation and closing deals that drive significant business growth.
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships by communicating the value of Uber Eats and our newest product features to help restaurants reach their business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Operations and Account Management to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and set new partners up for long-term success.
- Proactively identify and redesign inefficient processes to ensure the Uber Eats team can move quickly and succeed at a massive scale.
How you'll spend your time
- 60% on outbound prospecting, including cold-calling, emailing, and in-person meetings.
20% on closing and negotiating new partnerships to bring on a diverse selection of restaurants.
20% on collaborating with internal teams to build new processes and solve partner challenges.
Basic qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional sales experience in a quota-carrying role.
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing a sales pipeline.
- Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and present tailored solutions.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software, such as Salesforce, to manage sales activities and pipelines.
