Account Executive, Retail - UK
About the Role
Join the Uber Eats Grocery and Retail team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of commerce across UK&I. As an Account Executive, you'll be securing high-impact partners and expanding our marketplace. This isn't just a sales job, it's about creating a tangible impact on our platform and helping diverse businesses thrive.
You'll own the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing deals. We're looking for a motivated and resilient self-starter who excels at building long-term, strategic partnerships. You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams to craft winning proposals and ensure a seamless launch, all while acting as a strategic growth partner to our new merchants.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for UK&I, unlocking key retailers in high-growth verticals like Grocery, Pharma, Alcohol, and other strategic retail sectors.
- Drive top-of-funnel activity by creatively prospecting and pitching new businesses to build a robust pipeline
- Negotiate and close complex deals with key stakeholders, guiding them through a multi-stage sales process
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including onboarding specialists, marketing, and operations, to ensure merchants have a strong launch and hit the ground running
- Act as a strategic partner during the first four weeks, ensuring new merchants achieve early success and strong performance on the platform

What You'll Need
- 3+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or commercial role, preferably within the retail or grocery sectors
- A proven track record of delivering sales targets and successfully managing a long, complex sales cycle
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative selling background focused on building long-term partnerships
- A go-getter attitude with a strong sense of ownership and resilience
- Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce for pipeline management and reporting
- A strong understanding of the UK&I Retail market and a network within the sector is highly preferred
