About the job
This position is needed to help us continue to build an innovative, world-class ethics and compliance program.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Strategically assess and evolve how the Ethics and Compliance team receives, reviews, and advises employees on requests for ethics guidance, with the goal of continually improving the fairness, rigor, consistency, personalization, and timeliness of our advice;
- Critically and creatively measure the effectiveness of our ethics and compliance program’s various initiatives, including our training curriculum and approaches;
- Drive ethics and compliance project management initiatives by collaborating effectively across the business, including with our risk management, compliance, operations, and enterprise application teams;
- Manage our Conflicts of Interest Disclosure program, including by: corresponding with requestors; partnering with our Senior Managing Counsel, Ethics and Compliance to review requests, apply relevant policy, and provide written and verbal advice to requestors; and rigorously designing, implementing, and improving data collection and analysis processes to enable data-driven insights;
- Manage our Ethics Hotline program, including by: corresponding with reporters; working with our Senior Managing Counsel, Ethics and Compliance, and other partners to review and investigate complaints, draft investigation reports, and recommend disciplinary actions, as necessary; and analyzing report data to identify potential trends and mitigate risk;
- Partner with our Senior Managing Counsel, Ethics and Compliance to provide our employees with timely, personalized guidance on other day-to-day ethics and compliance matters, including: gifts and hospitality; vendor and supplier issues; and engagement with government officials and state-owned enterprises;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build and deliver effective and engaging company-wide and role-based ethics and compliance trainings;
- Help educate senior management, other business stakeholders, and Twilio’s Board on ethics and compliance program trends and outcomes, including by building engaging presentation materials highlighting data-driven insights;
- Develop team-internal and and company-facing ethics and compliance procedures, guidelines, and policies.

Required:
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills who embraces the Twilio Magic;
- 4+ years of ethics and/or compliance experience, including in-house experience managing ethics and compliance programs, or similar relevant experience;
- Outstanding organization and project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to work on individual requests while driving forward on longer-term, strategic projects;
- Strong writing ability.
Desired:
- Ethics and Compliance program management experience at a tech company;
- Knowledge of the US DOJ Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs;
- Familiarity with anti-bribery and corruption laws, including the FCPA;
- Experience conducting ethics and compliance risk assessments;
- Familiarity with various compliance and legal enterprise software systems, including NAVEX and Onit
Location
This role will be remote, and based in Canada and can only be hired in .
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in British Columbia. : $88,900.00 - $111,100.00
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
