Chemists applies scientific principles to the formulation of materials to create new products and/or refine current products. Conducts research, analysis, and experimentation on products or raw materials, for such purposes as product and process development and application.
Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Investigates and develops new technology and methodologies. Conducts research on manufactured products to develop and improve products. New product development.
2. Researches new and/or alternate raw materials for cost control, plant economies and for the purpose of creating new products or improving existing products.
3. Prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests. Problem solving and disposition of distressed products or raw materials.
4. Provides technical service support including customer complaint investigations.
5. Evaluates and interprets test results and makes appropriate recommendations.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Manufacturing or Chemical / Paint Batch Processing.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Work Environment: Generally, works in climate-controlled office environment and warehouse manufacturing environment.
