As a TruckPro Category Manager, you will partner with sales leadership and other key decision makers to lead the strategy and execution for specific product categories within TruckPro Retail and Wholesale business units. This role will develop category strategy around product offering, tiers/positioning, pricing, margins, and SKU/store inventory. This role will also evaluate existing products through batch reviews and optimize the category according to the set strategy.

Successful Category Manager Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (required); advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 5–7 years of experience in retail merchandising, distribution, planning and allocation, pricing, promotions, or purchasing
  • At least 2 years of management or team leadership experience
  • Industry experience in automotive or heavy-duty truck parts (preferred)
  • A business-minded approach with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong organizational agility and a collaborative mindset to enhance cross-functional partnerships
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information and data-driven recommendations
  • Team-oriented, results-driven, and adaptable with a strong record of cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required); experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus

Key Category Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Translate business needs into strategic and tactical plans to drive category sales and profitability
  • Develop and manage sales, profit, and inventory plans; monitor performance and adjust strategies to address gaps and capitalize on opportunities
  • Own and improve the financial performance of assigned product categories
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define category strategies, optimize assortments, and support inventory and financial planning
  • Evaluate new product opportunities, set cost targets, and influence purchasing decisions
  • Deliver clear insights, performance updates, and actionable recommendations through effective written and verbal communication
