Join us for a 12 week paid internship at our R&D APAC HQ Hub right here in Christchurch. You'll join 25+ other interns for our 2024/2025 cohort, where we'll create the opportunity for you to socialise, team build and enjoy an off site visit to our test site.

What You Will Do

As the Applications Specialist Intern, you will assist the team with specification, testing, documentation and preparation for release of Trimble Access and Trimble Geospatial products for the land surveyor or geospatial professional.

This is an internship that will allow you to put your knowledge in practice and participate in the business world in a meaningful way. You will have extensive hands-on experience running a variety of survey workflows throughout the summer, and by the end of the internship you will be an expert with the latest technology in the industry.

Bachelor of Surveying students can use the hours worked during this internship to contribute to SURV499 Vacation Employment.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

You will be studying a Bachelor of Surveying / Bachelor of Civil Engineering / BSc degree (or equivalent qualification) in one of the Geospatial disciplines (Land Survey, Geodesy, or Geomatics).

You should:
  • Demonstrate and project a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Have a strong commitment to quality, persistence and inquisitiveness.
  • Enjoy and work well in a collaborative team-based environment, as well as being self-motivated to succeed
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Be able to contribute and add value to this dynamic team environment
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills
