What We'll Bring:
Transunion is looking for highly motivated DevOps team members who seek to grow their DevOps skills to the next level. Our ideal candidate will possess a basic knowledge of successful CI/CD implementations for containerized deployments and have a deep knowledge of IaC approaches and technologies in cloud environments. Ability to learn and learn to apply new technologies quickly is essential. As the candidate will be responsible for provisioning, monitoring and maintaining Transunion commercial services, successful candidates require experience in systems engineering and cloud automation, are critical thinkers, and scripters with coding skills that will be used to automate repeatable tasks. Additionally, candidates must be highly organized with strong communication skills and a mindset for continuous improvement.

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

What You'll Bring:
Job Duties
  • Responsible for the creation, configuration and delivery of cloud infrastructure environments using automation best practices and a proactive strategy.
  • Responsible for automating the infrastructure build in cloud environments.
  • Responsible for automation and monitoring of operational processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining, monitoring production and non-production systems, ensuring platforms perform at maximum efficiency and security.
  • Automate the full SDLC lifecycle process for application and infrastructure as code workloads.
  • Automate business continuity/disaster recovery.
  • Design and set up a continuous build platform to accelerate software development and production processes.
  • Participate in rotational 12x7 on call.
  • Perform root cause analysis for service performance incidents.
Impact You'll Make:
Qualifications/Education
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS/Debian) and its fundamentals.
  • Overall, 2+ years operating within Linux/Unix environments with at least 1-2 years of SRE/DevOps production operation in large scale, Internet facing infrastructure.
  • AWS/GCP Certification is a plus.
  • Experience building cloud-based infrastructure solutions in AWS or GCP with a strong governance model knowledge (AWS preferred).
  • Experience in continuous integration, continuous deployment.
  • Experience in multiple scripting languages (e.g., Python, GoLang, Bash).
  • Experience with Jenkins files, Groovy, GoLang are a plus.
  • Experience in support and deploying containerized workloads (e.g., EKS, GKE, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes deployments via GitOps model using Flux (fluxcd.io) is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring and management systems.
  • Experience in DevOps tools Jenkins, Git, Jira.
  • Experience in management tools Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, StackDriver.
  • Experience with application performance monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Experience in working in/with Agile processes (Scaled Agile Framework/SAFe preferred) and tools (preferably Jira) with demonstrated ability to synthesize user requirements as proper user stories.
  • Experience in working in/with ITSM processes (incident management, problem management, change management, configuration management) and tools (preferably Jira JSM).
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to provide "thinking-outside-the-box" solutions.
  • Strong understanding and experience operating in an agile development environment.
  • Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and prioritize work against competing deadlines and changing business priorities.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
