Group Details
As the Head of Data Management at Tradeweb, you will play a pivotal role in steering our organization's data management within the landscape of the financial sector. This role will focus on the management of both internal master and reference data used to support Tradeweb. For this role, we are looking for a Head of Data Management with a strong financial background who will be involved in the analysis of security data to build operation workflows to ensure accuracy of data. This position will also be involved with the day-to-day review of the reference data used to support our trading platform with a focus on data quality reviews. The Head of Data Management will be expected improve our data quality efforts through automation and testing out algorithmic approaches to the classifications of financial instruments and data to look for anomalies or outliers as indications of data quality issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to understand their data needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with organization objectives.
- Willingness to work in a tactical nature for operational work while looking to develop the strategic plans of how to improve the existing processes
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand how data quality impacts their products and to solve on-going data quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data usage, supporting data-driven decision-making across various departments.
- Oversee data migrations initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition while maintaining data integrity and minimizing disruption, especially when integrating offshore teams.
- Lead efforts to integrate disparate data sources to create a unified, comprehensive view of financial data.
- Formulate comprehensive data management procedures, particularly focused on sensitive data such as customer and financial data (securities).
- Provide leadership and guidance to the data management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Promote professional development and mentorship within the team to enhance skills and expertise in data management.
- Drive initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities, enabling better insights and strategic planning for the organization.
- Lead and manage a global data operations function, including oversight of offshore and nearshore teams, ensuring quality control, workflow efficiency, and service level adherence.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree completed or relative work experience required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data management or related roles within the financial sector.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing specialized data masters, such as security and customer master.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VBA, database connections, etc.).
- Experience with SQL & Python a plus (but not required).
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity securities across a broad array of markets.
- Familiarity with data mapping, data modeling, and relational database design.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex data integration and migration projects, collaborating with offshore teams or other stakeholders.
- Track record of effectively delegating task, setting clear expectations, and providing constructive feedback to team members to enhance performance and productivity.
- Strong preference for candidate to have background or experience in fixed income

- The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $225,000 to $275,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
