Who we're looking for
Toyota's Environmental & Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Utilities Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage utilities for North American facilities.
Reporting to the Manager of Facility Systems & Standards, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective to provide efficient / reliable infrastructure and utilities across all pillars in North America.
What you'll be doing
- Investigate renewable energy opportunities for North American sites to meet sustainability goals
- Take ownership of contract initiatives for energy procurement.
- Complete analysis of facility energy usage, reduction activities and energy costs.
- Update management (Immediate & Executive) on regulatory changes, market changes and supply disruptions as needed.
- Analyze and justify participation in utility rate cases.
- Identify incentives and rebates available to Toyota locations
- Lead utility payment processing and work with business unit customers to resolve issues.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience in energy procurement, energy benchmarking
- Knowledge with electric and natural gas utility regulations throughout US.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work up to 10% overtime when required.
- Ability to travel up to 10% when required.
Added bonus if you have
- Experience with VT Scada
- Experience with renewable energy Power Purchase Agreements.
- Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP).
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
