The primary responsibility of this role as a Thermal Technician in Performance Analysis and Evaluation Thermal group is to execute evaluations for Engine Cooling and HVAC development.

Reporting to the Technician Supervisor, the person in this role will support the Performance Analysis and Evaluations Thermal group's department objective's to safely and accurately collect and report data, to support vehicle development for North American Customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Support planning, instrumentation, and evaluation of Toyota development vehicles.
  • Collect evaluation data using Thermal data acquisition equipment.
  • Confirm accuracy of data collected during evaluation process.
  • Development of digital tools to improve efficiency.
  • Support virtual evaluation using Catia for design review for Thermal performance.
  • Strongly support Toyota Safety processes, kaizen, and 5S.
  • A safety-first mindset that "all incidents are preventable".

What you bring

  • Associate degree or higher AND/OR commensurate work experience.
  • Demonstrated Thermal vehicle evaluation experience (static and dynamic).
  • Experience using Thermal data acquisition equipment, Microphones, Airflow velocity, and ECU management software to assist in Thermal evaluations.
  • Advanced automotive mechanical skills including diagnosis and repair.
  • Ability to replace, retrofit, and modify Thermal related components to all vehicle systems.
  • Beginner level knowledge using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for completing data analysis, graph making and reporting of data.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and work overtime as required.

Added bonus if you have

  • Toyota Mid Class licenses or above.
