Who we're looking for
We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to own the reliability, performance, and scalability of our mission-critical AWS-hosted systems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, automate, and improve the way our systems run in production-while also leading incident response when issues arise. You'll work at the intersection of software, cloud infrastructure, and operations, ensuring our services run flawlessly and can scale effortlessly.
What you'll be doing
- Lead major incident response, coordinating resolution across multiple teams.
- Engineer improvements for resiliency, scalability, and performance in live systems.
- Automate operational tasks with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CLI).
- Provide deep operational support for AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, Kubernetes).
- Perform root cause analysis and drive long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure smooth, production-ready service handoffs.
- Monitor and optimize systems using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and other observability tools.
- Maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and incident processes.
What you bring
- Proven experience running large-scale production systems in AWS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, Windows, and networking.
- Advanced AWS knowledge: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with observability tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog).
Added bonus if you have
- Strong understanding of ITSM and major incident management.
- ITIL Foundation or AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
- Docker/containerization experience.
- ELK stack familiarity.
- Cloud security best practices.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent practical experience.
